Had breakfast with delegates from Indonesia and received a wrist band from them stating ‘I Love my heart, Let it Beat’! Apparently, it seems that they love shopping in Taka over here in Singapore-no worries IndoS I’m just 20 minutes away from Orchard Road by Bus and YOU definitely must check out Vivo City! (talk cock la wx you have not even been there!)
The first technical session was on Policies to combat Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs with International experts from the World Health Organisation, World Heart Federation, American Cancer Society, UNAIDS, UNESCO, UNDP, Clinton Global Initiative, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Bank as well as a host of Indian experts and health advocates. They would be interacting with us over the four days.
After lunch, we were broke into small groups for Workshops and Skills Building in which we discussed on how can educational institutions promote tobacco control in the community and how to combat tobacco advertising, sponsorship and promotion.
Dinner for today was an absolutely different theme! Open air concept with a stage in the middle, stalls selling various stuffs at one side and buffet on the other side. Somehow or rather, I spotted a man providing palm reading services at any cost. Curiosity kills the cat, so I went for it and to believe it or not he said to me nothing but positive comments:
